Inventory

Just dk and fingering (sock weight) yarn. All wool, but not all superwash.

I do think there are several repeats in her stash. Some rose colors look the same, as well as light bluey purple. That limey green in the front and second row from the front look the same too. Two whites, and definitely two purples.

Then what I have already...

Starting from the right going left.
1. Mixed lime green, would like it to be solid.
2. yellow fingering 300 yds
3. goldenrod fingering 300 yds
4. citrus (pumpkin color) Gems merino 185 yds, not orange enough for my liking, but matches other yarns, but it won't work here.

The yarn in the center:
hand dyed oranges, would rather that it was solid orange. a bit of leftover red-orange mix

then red Gems merino, Brown Sheep red fingering and then fuchsia fingering and a huge skein of fuchsia Cherry Tree Hill fingering, 420 yds. These red and fuchsia yarns are essentially the same color.

Hand dyed pink/white and then red/pink/white

Hand dyed Lavender, medium blue fingering, leftover blue

teal, turquoise leftover, aqua leftover, full skein of Cherry Tree Hill grayed-down teal green 420 yds.

Bits of aqua-greens
So while I could make something with this motley bunch of yarns, I would rather have a full set of colors, more closely related in value and closer in color. I am glad to see that I already have that goldenrod color, as I can't imagine how to mix that from the yellow and red that I have in the dye. I would have to order specific goldenrod dye.
The missing solid colors I think are
orange, peachy orange, watermelon red, pink,
rosey purpley lavender, lavender blue, medium blue,
turquoise, lime green, minty green, regular grass green
Of course I need help. I made a few too many petals on this flower, and something isn't right with the center either, or the gold row, for that matter. Help!!

MAKING a LONG TEE SHIRT

I finally got off my butt (big big butt) and went to the garage and brought in my patterns, pattern paper and some fabrics and found this cute pattern that I have never made. I have several suitable t-shirt patterns, but this one has some interest due to the slits in front and the sides. It comes with a back zip, which I won't be doing, and I may have to narrow the sleeves a bit as well as shorten them. I always have to shorten sleeves in the pattern.
The pants look good too. And if I wore skirts, the skirt looks cute.
I have another idea too.
Love love love this jacket which could work as a shirt with a camisole (as if) underneath. Or a turtleneck. But think of all the cute shirt fabric out there (Hobby Lobby) or quilt fabric, or even Kona cotton solids. Colorblocked maybe. One cute pocket on the overlapping side maybe?

And of course the long hoodie is just so me! I need a light coat don't I?

This is also a t-shirt pattern, altho I don't like boat necks, I could fix that. So I have a ton of interlock and the other day I put away all the quilt fabric and have two cleaned off tables to work on. And I am not going to rush...and do a good job.

I am so miserable in my jeans today.

Which Yarn shall I use for Mitts for Glory??

This is the varigated that I used for the two pairs I have knit for the other 14 year olds, but I wonder about the light parts that disrupt the color?
I have found two other colors that might be better, not having any of the almost white streaks.
The Koigu is all blues, leaning towards teal and purple. The purple doesn't show up too well on my monitor.
The Happy Feet has a bit of yellow, green, aqua, and purple-navy.
Which do you think she would be happier with?

It should melt by noon. The tree lights are on a switch on the porch, which means I would have to get shoes and a coat on to turn them on.
